EchoLUTION™ Plant DNA Kit Delivers High-Purity Genomic DNA from Challenging Plant Matrices in Under 90 Minutes

The kit applies BioEcho’s EchoLUTION flow-through purification technology — the same principle used across the company’s broader product range. Rather than binding DNA to a silica membrane and releasing it through sequential wash and elution cycles, EchoLUTION allows DNA to pass freely through a proprietary matrix while retaining cellular debris, inhibitors, and contaminants. The result is high-molecular-weight genomic DNA with minimal co-purified inhibitors, ready for direct use in downstream applications including PCR, genotyping, and next-generation sequencing.

Purity data from independent trials demonstrate that the EchoLUTION Plant DNA Kit achieves comparable or superior absorbance ratios (A260/A280 and A260/A230) relative to a magnetic bead-based competitor across multiple species and tissue types. For seed samples from corn, wheat, barley, and lettuce, statistically significant purity advantages were observed for EchoLUTION. For leaf samples from parsley, barley, and tomato, performance was comparable to the magnetic bead method. In whole genome sequencing applications, users report tight insert size distributions, greater than 90% SNP concordance, and minimal sequencing bias across species.

The kit supports 96 samples per run in 90 minutes, with formats available for individual tubes as well as 96- and 384-well plates — making it equally suited to small-scale research and high-throughput breeding programs. Homogenization accessories including steel beads, tube and cap strips, and lysis plates are available separately to support standardized tissue disruption workflows.
