The CombiTac align 15 addresses the critical need for precise docking in logistics operations by compensating misalignments when AGVs and AMRs connect to their charging stations. This innovation enhances operational efficiency across industries such as warehousing, distribution, retail, food and beverage, healthcare, automotive, and chemical sectors.
Its design incorporates a connector integrated into a three-dimensional misalignment compensation system, featuring a spring-loaded floating assembly combined with a funnel. This configuration allows misalignment compensation of up to ±15 mm sideways, ±10 mm vertically, and 20 mm in depth.
The system comprises two power and four signal contacts. The power contacts support currents up to 100 A, accommodating wire cross-sections up to 25 mm² with crimp or screw termination (vehicle side only). The four signal contacts are compatible with wires ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 mm² and can carry up to 10 A. Designed for durability, the CombiTac align 15 ensures reliable power and signal connections for up to 100,000 mating cycles.
This connector is a new addition to the CombiTac modular connector product range, which is being expanded by Stäubli Electrical Connectors AG.
