The family-run company Avdimetaj Transporte GmbH, based in Fahrweid/Dietikon, took delivery of nine new Renault Trucks D Wide 4×2 on 20 June 2026. With this investment, the company is further expanding its capacity in beverage logistics and is relying on vehicles that are specifically designed for demanding distribution operations throughout Switzerland.

Avdimetaj Transporte GmbH has been active in national distribution logistics for many years and has specifically expanded its services to include beverage logistics. With these new vehicles, the family-run business is strengthening its fleet to ensure the reliable delivery of beer, mineral water and other beverages to retail outlets. Managing Director Zijadin ‘Ziki’ Avdimetaj officially took delivery of the vehicles together with his team and Operations and Fleet Manager Michèle Salvati.

For demanding distribution operations

The new Renault Trucks D Wide 4×2 models are powered by an economical 11-litre engine delivering 380 PS. The automated gearbox supports drivers, particularly in stop-and-go traffic, and helps ensure a relaxed and efficient working day.

Flexible for everyday use

To cater for a variety of transport tasks, the vehicles are fitted with both a standard CH-Rockinger coupling and a 3.5-tonne ball coupling on the rear cross-member. This allows different types of trailers – from refrigerated trailers to two-axle fixed trailers – to be used depending on the job.

The bodywork from ORTEN Fahrzeugbau is also specifically tailored to the requirements of drinks logistics. With 18 pallet spaces, a 2-tonne tail lift and a robust sliding tarpaulin body with side access, it offers the ideal conditions for daily distribution operations.

The equipment also includes a side-view camera and the Global cab with an on-board fridge, which enhances safety and comfort for drivers in their day-to-day work.

Ziki Avdimetaj, Managing Director of Avdimetaj Transporte GmbH:
“With these vehicles, we will be able to deliver goods to their final destinations even more efficiently, quickly and safely in the drinks logistics sector. Our drivers are delighted with the increased comfort and performance of these new vehicles!”

Tarcis Berberat, Managing Director of Renault Trucks (Switzerland) AG:
“We are very proud that Ziki Avdimetaj has once again placed his trust in us for this procurement. Thanks to our close collaboration with him and Michèle Salvati, we have been able to put work vehicles on the road that have been precisely tailored to the high demands of drinks logistics and offer maximum safety and comfort for the drivers.”

Following the handover of the vehicles, Robert Orten, Chairman of the Board of ORTEN Fahrzeugbau GmbH, and CEO Tarkeshwar Rao also took the opportunity to personally thank Ziki Avdimetaj for the order.
