With its flexible production lines, MS Motorservice International GmbH responds to customer requests quickly and with great expertise. Besides short delivery times, customers benefit above all from aftermarket products whose quality matches the original equipment. In cooperation with Group subsidiary KS Kolbeschmidt GmbH, Motorservice built a piston plant in the Czech Republic, and took over a Pierburg GmbH production plant in Italy. Bolstered by the know-how of its two sister companies, the spare parts specialist boasts a level of production expertise on a par with any internationally operating OEM.

Tobias Kasperlik, chairman of the Motorservice board of management, sums up the advantages of these special production structures as follows: “Thanks to plants in the Czech Republic and Italy, we can easily meet the needs of our customers in the best possible way. Our highly skilled staff and the quick setup times on our production lines guarantee the swift supply of excellent spare parts.”

Back in 2016, Motorservice took over responsibility for the plant of the then-Pierburg Pump Technology S.p.A. in Lanciano, Italy. Since then, the plant has specialized primarily in small production runs. Working on three flexibly production lines, more than 130 employees assemble water, oil, and vacuum pumps, exhaust gas recirculation valves, and high-tech inlet manifolds for the spare part market. In addition, the 40,000-square meter site features over 950 square meters of warehouse space, plus a comprehensive array of testbeds and a quality control laboratory.

Pistons for the Aftermarket

In less than a year, a new multimillion-euro plant for small pistons was built in 2015 in Chabařovice in the Czech Republic. Occupying a 50,000-square meter site with 4,500 square meters of production space, the spare parts specialist produces state-of-the-art pistons for the world market. Due to the technically complex manufacturing procedure, production runs tend to be comparatively small. Just six kilometers from Chabařovice, its sister company Kolbenschmidt has operated a piston plant in Ústí nad Labem since 1995. The proximity of the two locations fosters a steady exchange of know-how, meaning that Motorservice benefits from continuous optimization of production and quality control processes.

Turbo by Intec

A third factory is located in Lyon, France. A wholly owned subsidiary, Intec is the Motorservice Group’s specialist for overhauling and refitting turbochargers for cars, light commercial vehicles, boats, agriculture equipment engines, and stationary motors for the independent spare parts market. When time is of the essence, the French company clearly has what it takes: With 850 square meters of production, warehouse and sales space, and a team of nine specialists, Intec offers an economical, environmentally sustainable alternative to newly produced turbochargers.
