New stack heights are making the har-flex® PCB connector family the right choice for optimising the use of space in PCB and device design. They complete the range of 8-20 mm spacings in the har-flex® family. With a uniquely wide range of pole counts, fixings, design heights and reliable parameters for soldering, the 1.27 mm interface is always the right choice for your device.

In order to space one or more PCBs correctly in a device, HARTING is extending the har-flex® family by straight male connectors (stack height 4.85 mm) and female connectors (stack height 13.65 mm). These complete the range and from the first quarter in 2019 will allow PCB spacing from 8 to 20 mm. Our har-flex® IDC Ribbon Cable connector assemblies are available to provide wider spacing between PCBs. This extensive variety is required as every instance of industrial device design is unique. Each piece of housing needs to allow for different sizes, formats and requirements. The PCBs inside the device must always offset other space factors. HARTING presents the har-flex® family at the "electronica" trade fair (13 to 16 November 2018 in Munich / Hall C2, Booth 548).

Every PCB must include a defined position for interfaces to the housing wall or other electronic components and these will vary according to the device and its application. In har-flex®, HARTING is offering a miniaturised interface that is without parallel in its flexibility. A compact pitch of 1.27 mm, pin counts ranging from 6-100 as required, finely graded stack heights of male and female connectors from 8-20 mm and fixings with SMT or THR hold-downs satisfy every conceivable requirement. In the har-flex range, device developers have the right interface in any dimensions at their fingertips. har-flex® fits in almost any application, no matter how small, but at the same time is very robust.

Fully pick&place enabled for automatic processing

With manufacturing becoming more and more automated, it goes without saying that har-flex® is suitable for pick and place and can be soldered in the reflow soldering process. HARTING gives high priority to faultless precision in its components thus aiding users with their processing.
