• The world’s first braided carbon wheels for single-sided swingarm motorcycles
  • Ducati Panigale V4, V4 S and V4 R are the first models to be equipped
  • Pre-registration starting from December 18th 2020 via the thyssenkrupp carbon website

The mission to equip Ducati’s flagship model with braided thyssenkrupp carbon wheels has finally been completed and the world’s first braided single-sided swingarm wheel is now available for pre-registration for the Panigale V4, V4 S and V4 R. The combination of style, sophistication and performance of the prestigious Panigale V4 suits the product characteristics of the thyssenkrupp carbon wheels extraordinarily. The uniquely manufactured carbon wheels have been developed combining in-house engineering ingenuity, top-of-the-art technologies as well as extensive knowledge derived from OE projects such as the Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series.

What the British magazine MCN labels as “a different breed of carbon loveliness” is at its core the result of the patented manufacturing technology, hence the world’s largest radial braiding machine ensures not only the incomparable looks of the braided carbon rim but also outstanding and unrivalled quality. Having passed a series of thorough in-house testing as well as the certification of the German National Type Approval, the US American DOT E and the Japanese JWL, the thyssenkrupp carbon wheels are the only carbon wheels, which are road-legal worldwide.

As a result for Ducatisti, the thyssenkrupp carbon wheels will bring a formerly unknown feeling and agility to their Panigale V4, V4 S or V4 R. Professional riders identified the braided carbon wheels as the accessory with the highest improvement-cost ratio. Not only is the response for the rider strongly ameliorated, but especially the behaviour when entering any corner, either on the street or the race-track, is improved dramatically. Lastly, the stunningly braided carbon wheels support the well-designed looks of the Ducati like rarely any other accessory could.

CEO Dr Jens Werner: “The single-sided swingarm carbon wheels have been on our horizon for quite some time and seeing the final result shows the efforts have been worth it. It is the combination of our technology and all the knowledge we have acquired in the previous years, which built the core of this project. We are excited about the outcome as well as entering the sphere of carbon wheels for single-sided swingarm motorcycle with more to come in the near future.”

The pre-registration is available on the website of the manufacturer from December 18th 2020 and will secure the customer the top spots for the delivery batches. All registered customers will be contacted according to the order of pre-registration at the beginning of 2021 with the first thyssenkrupp carbon wheels for the Ducati expected to leave the production site in Kesselsdorf at the end of the first half of 2021.
